We are on a mission to break the cycle of poverty by providing education opportunities to children in need.

We are on a mission to give students an opportunity to break out of the cycle of poverty through education.
Young people want the chance to get out of the farms and fields of Baja California. They want to learn. We help make it possible. Instead of a childhood of dawn-to-dark labor, children get scholarships to finish grade school, attend high school, and even earn a university degree.
A few dollars are all that stand between a childhood spent as a field worker and a future in a trade or profession of their choice. If a family can't afford fees, pay for expensive school uniforms, or even buy pencils and paper, then the children in that family can't go to school. It's just that simple.

Yesterday, we attended a festival to commemorate International Mother Language Day. Our scholars performed and we were there to support them.
Our scholars were invited to perform at a theater downtown. We attended the event to support our students. It is important to be there for them.

Yesterday our staff members attended a Traditional Mexican Dances Exhibition to support our Scholars Yulissa, Dania Melissa, and Juan Alberto. All of them are Kindergarten students. The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate International Mother Language Day.
In the Maneadero area, people speak Mixteco (Alto and Bajo variants), Zapoteco, Tlapaneco, Triqui and Náhuatl. We encourage our scholars to be proud of their mother language and speak it to preserve it. Our language is a gift.

To celebrate the International Mother Language Day, bilingual schools in town had a Indigenous Dances demonstration. Preschool and Kindergarten students performed typical dances from several Mexican states.

We attended the Bilingual Elementaries Color Guard contest to support our scholars. Six BajaEd scholars participated, four won a place. It was a great day 🇲🇽🏆🥇

They made it possible for people in our community to have homes and attend school. Baja Missions has been one of our true friends, a friend who is a treasure.
We have been told that Baja Missions is saying goodbye. It is hard to accept this news. They leave a legacy of love and hard work. Their houses stand in the midst of poor neighborhoods in Maneadero. Their scholars are turning into chefs, lawyers, and therapists. The families and organizations they helped are thriving.
Baja Missions may claim they are gone, but we can tell their impact will last for many more years. Love is timeless. Love is everlasting. And Baja Missions embodies love.
Farewell, true friends. We deeply appreciate everything you have done for us. You will live in your houses, in your scholarships, and in our hearts forever.
